About Me

About me?  Hmmm where to start, well I guess seeing as this is going to be a weekly singing video site I will let you know about that!  I am 33 years old and I have been singing ever since I was a child.  I have been in several contests through out the years, but I have never won any of them :(   I did however place in the top ten of a local contest 2 years in a row and was able to record 2 original songs.  I was also on 2 separate Christmas cd’s and those songs were featured on our local country radio station.  
 
I have continued to sing over the past few years but with 2 young children it is hard to get out as I use to.  I have being playing the guitar (and I use the term playing very loosely) for the last couple of years – I can play well enough to sing in my living room – but not in public.  
 
I consider myself a country singer but as you will see from my videos I love all kinds of music and I am not opposed to singing them.
 
I never persued my singing career due to finances and my weight – I have never felt that my body matched my voice and no record company in the world would sign a 350lb woman to sing for them – I am currently on the long journey of shedding my extra 2 people and maybe once my goals have been reached I can try harder to pursue some sort of singing occupation.  For now I will be posting videos on here for your enjoyment!  Feel free to leave requests on my posts and if you would like to follow my weight loss journey visit byebyefatgirl.com .
